No candidate for any public office, including city, county, state, or federal offices or the offices of any other political subdivision of the state or federal government, may place campaign signs or materials on Lindon City property. This section shall in no way be interpreted as prohibiting any candidate or citizen from engaging in political speech in public or in displaying such materials on private property.
