The permit for industrial wastewater discharge may require pretreatment of industrial waste waters before discharge, restriction of peak flow discharges, discharge of certain waste waters only to specified sewers, relocation of points of discharge, prohibition of discharge of certain wastewater components, restriction of discharge to certain hours of the day, payment of additional charges to defray increased costs of the city created by the wastewater discharges and such other conditions as may be required to effectuate No person(s) shall discharge or cause to be discharged any unpolluted waters such as storm water, surface water, groundwater roof runoff, Subsurface drainage, or cooling water to any sanitary sewer, except storm water runoff from limited areas, which storm water may be polluted at times and may be discharged to the sanitary sewer by permission of the superintendent. Storm water other than that exempted above and all other unpolluted drainage shall be discharged to such sewers or storm sewers or to natural outlets approved by the superintendent and other regulatory agencies. Unpolluted industrial cooling water or process waters may be discharged, on approval of the superintendent, to a storm sewer, combined sewer, or natural outlet. (Ord. 121 §26(a), amended, 1985)
